Farmageddon I was extremely entertaining and is completely overlooked.

Srsly. That game was decided by two consecutive tipped balls AND featured a GG pass downfield over 15+ yards in the air.

GG crying afterwards was a very  :bawl: / :kstatriot: moment.
Tucks everywhere anointed him as the greatest "Foundation builder" QB in OB'z second DOD.

yes.

GG did things "the right way" and worked hard to "improve a little bit every day".

It's the formula.

Baylor this past year was quite entertaining... After waiting out the two hour lightning delay in my car.
Was at this game.  When. They stormed the field, my friends and I looked at each other and agreed to go on the field.  Then we palled around with Bish, Aaron and Quincy.

I was at this game as well.  BU and the North Texas games made me come an eyelash from renouncing my  :lynchmob:  I know it's not a popular sentiment, but I actually see the value in OB coaching.  However, if that defense is even in the same hemisphere of ineptitude again this year I will be on the goEMAW bandwagon if Cosh isn't immediately fired.  BTW...was it one of you who went on the field and stole the football after the game in WACO?  Did the lady security guard ever catch you?

what makes you think it will be better?   Even with AB & an improved D-Line - the probability of a defense going from worst in the country to even marginal is extremely unlikely under a coordinator that has never fielded a successful defense.   If OB didn't fire him after this year - why should he get another chance?

Well, for starters, we'll have AB and an improved D-Line (fingers firmly crossed).  I also think that Tre Walker will be vastly improved in his second season.  Stopping the run should be aided by switching back to a 4-3.  Finally, we have some interesting prospects in the secondary to go along with a new DB and passing game coordinator (tom hayes) who has loads of experience in both NFL and FBS football.  However, I sleep at night knowing that it can't get worse on defense, and our offense was UNBELIEVABLE last year without any threat at QB and most of our WR's hurt.

In all seriousness I have ZERO idea why OB didn't fire Cosh.  I don't give an eff if we had high school talent or not (not saying definitively that we did), there is no way on this planet that North Texas should have moved the ball at will on us.  I live in Dallas metro, and watched 3 or 4 UNT games.  They were TERRIBLE!  I was literally embarrassed to be wearing purple after that game.  The decision to retain Cosh defies all of the logic I possess.

One super overlooked and incredibly entertaining game was the 2002 Holiday Bowl against Arizona State.  Tremendously exciting.

I'm not arguing we should have kept Cosh, and that we will be back to LynchMob form in no time.  I just don't pretend to know all the facts of the situation.  I do know that many times when intelligent people make seemingly obvious unintelligent decisions it is because there are other circumstances that we're not privy to.  Like I said, I hope with personnel improvements and a migration from Koening's defense to the much more familiar 4-3 that we can improve to at least a middle of the pack defense.  After this season we can reassess where we are at that point.  I hope that Cosh "resigns" to explore other options now that his son left, but I highly doubt it.

I'm alright with where we're headed though.  I applaud OB for coming back to help remedy the situation Prince left us in.  I think we are improving starters and depth for now and the future, and putting the program on much more solid ground for the next coach.  Hey, I would love to win 10 games every year again, but do you remember seeing the stands 10-20% empty at game time, and then 50%+ empty in the second half during Prince's tenure?  Do you remember getting beat by 40-60 points every week?  Do you remember recruiting 19 JUCO's in one class, and having many of the KS high school coaches urging their kids to go to other schools.  As long as we're trending upward and going bowling each year I'll continue to support B-Snyd.  I've seen some argue that last year is as good as OB can do.  How do you know that?  He has improved the team both years he's been back?  Also, I don't fault Snyder for accepting the job and doing his best to fix the mess he was forced to watch each Saturday.  Be mad at Wefald (or Fitz) if you wanted somebody else.  You can't be mad at the guy that accepted the challenge and then works his ass off to accomplish his goals.

The only thing I do know is that this staff will be here this season so I will support the team as best I can.  I have never really understood being either a b-ball or football fan.  I'm a Kansas State fan.  I cheer for all of our teams.  That doesn't mean I blindly follow every move they make, but I can't assume every decision made is stupid, tuck, sinister, powerrespect, kstateo, etc.  (sorry if I used any of the emaw-isms incorrectly. i'm new here)

Yeah, see, you CAN assume that.  Because it is.  Everything we do is K-Stateo'd up.  (See: taking a good field and ruining it.)

While not being privy to information, I still believe the kangaroo court surrounding Wefald and Krause's handling of the athletic department stems from batshit lunacy.  Rehiring Snyder is one result of that insanity.  I appreciate what the guy did in the past, but what I see now is no different than what I saw with Bobby Elliott at the helm of the defense after Bielema left.  Hell, Cosh was part of that defensive staff!  Run my defense into the ground once, shame on you.  Run it into the ground twice, shame on me.  NO MOAR!!  :shakesfist:
