Andrew Shull was in my calc recitation. He was pretty much always there. I think he dominated everyone in calculus

Monty Beisel and Quincy Morgan were in my Intro to Mass Com class. Monty always sported the golf/visor hat with bleached hair.

On an unrelated note, I once purchased an "athletic supporter" from Terence Newman at Foot Locker when he was 16 and very skinny.

Had Monty, some coach assist named Tyson, and some baseball player in comp II.  Tyson was gone most of the second half of the semester, but baseball guy and Monty were there pretty much all the time.

Justin Montgomey was in my Geo101 lab in '03. Generally it's a freshman only class. Not for Justin though.

He was in my small group lab. He came in one time 20 minutes late. He sat down next to me, pulled out a magazine and did not look up once the entire class. Me and the other 2 did the work on an in-class project, and when I got up to turn it in at the end of class, Justin looked up from the magazine at me and goes, "Is my name on that?" I of course said yes. I was taking one for the team.

 :lynchmob:

Are you sure it wasn't '01 bro, its getting to be a long time ago, but I could have swore Justin Montgomery (if it wasn't Justin Montgomery it was some other large white NW KS O-lineman) was in the Geo lab I taught that year, fall semester.  Him and Rashad Washington (I think).  Rashad (who went by another first name on the FB team) was by far the better student.  Neither talked much, but both were normally there.  I know we went to Top of the World for a field trip and Justin wore flip flop/sandles and complained how cold it was and was tripping all over.  He also was not there for the final...talk about taking one for the team.  I knew he had to pass the class to go to the bowl game (I think players need to pass 6 credits go play or something) and he wasn't there, I asked RW if he knew where Justin was just before I handed out the final and he had no idea.  I told him to tell Justin to get in touch with me that day or fail the class.  So, I was in my office that evening and Justin comes bareling up the stairs panting freaking out begging to take the test.  So I let him, I even did a little review before I handed the test over and intentionally left the notes on the black board.  I think he ended up with a C...

I had David Allen Spring '01 he was a prick.  Never came, had to deal with the athletic department all the time...I know he was "done" with school since he was always gone for camps...but he was the suck.

 maybe :gocho:

Oh yeah just read in another thread that someone mentioned Josh Buhl and it reminded me that, it wasn't Rashad Washington with Justin Montgomery, it was Josh Buhl, so replace Josh with Justin in that story...I did have Rashad Washington though too, that would have been Spring '02.  He asked questions and I never had problems with him.  Very polite.

I've heard Josh Moore was a respectful, polite human being and did his part in taking exams he would've missed due to football, etc.  :ck:

No athletes in this story, but still funny.

Friend of mine in EP2 said the guy that checks for players attendance for the athletic dept was running late one day, walked into his recitation and said

Athletic Dept Guy: "Excuse me, what class is this?"

Teacher: "Engineering Physics 2"

Athletic Dept Guy: "lol nvm" and walked away

Spring semester 1994. Appreciation of Theatre.  Chad May and some skank sitting next to him stand up about 20 minutes into class, walk down the aisle and head out. The prof asks... "Uhh...where are you going?"  Chad, without turning around or looking at the prof just says... "I'm hungry!" and he and his skank were gone for the day.

Forgot one detail.  Deryl Cunningham was also in the class and never missed a day that I am aware of.

I had my first class at K-State  Expos writing (forgot about this until just now) with Gabe Crews.

He never missed a class to my knowledge, but I always ended up revising his papers for him. The man was absolutely the worst writer I have ever seen. I mean, I'm not sure he could even read. I didn't want to piss him off with my literary criticisms so I wrote "good" on all the papers I looked over for him. I'm sure the teacher did the same. No way he would pass a Junior High class if he wasn't an athlete.

Later had him in a Sociology class a year or two later. The teacher told him numerous times to show up on time, but he ALWAYS came in 10-15 minutes late with a bag of chips and a soda. He would just rip them chips open and start nomming down.  The teacher kept holding him after class to discuss his tardiness and chips I assume.

I was saving this because I didn't want to admit that I took women studies, but whatever... I was misled by an advisor. BFD.  My teacher was Ms. Burmeister & a few other guys in the class coined the monikor furmaster... was kind of funny I guess...  Total man-hater.

But anyway, Buhl, I think.... don't remember if it was him or not...   was apparently in another class of hers and one day she was returing graded work assignments and a paper I had wrote, mistakenly had his paper clipped along with mine.  I don't remember the topic, but it was something along the lines of: how an "ideal" woman should fit in today's society.   Where the obvious discussion should have been avoiding barefoot, pregnant & in the kitchen, Mr. Buhl listed attributes of his ideal mate and went as far as listing bra & waist size.   Some other favorable qualities entailed that she be white as well as having a sense of humor, etc. etc.   Basic grammar & spelling along the lines of a grade school-er - probably 5th grade level or so.

I do recall that the grade he received was a "D"  I wish like hell I still had this paper; would be rough ridin' hilarious to read again, but I thought I would be doing the football team a service by destroying it.

Do you remember the waist/hip measurements?  A girl I know dated him last year or two of school, would like to confirm.

Yep;  Probably the funniest part actually, it was the same measurements from the song "Baby got back"   36,24,36

however, he did not stipulate that those measurements would only work in the instance that she was 5'3" as the lyrics suggest.

Had many classes with Andre the giant as well.  He would walk into kines (pfft) lab with biscuits and gravy, and into the lectures with a vanilla ice cream.  Every day, no matter what.

In my expos 100 class, he was always hitting on this South African exchange student (who was secretly into me  :fatty:). I was scared he would crush me if he found out about us.

Doc was in my College Algebra recitation and there was another "William" in the class. The professor never could remember which one was Doc.

Southwell wanted my homework (which was due earlier that day) an hour before the final. I felt sick turning him away, but I offered to sit next to him and he accepted!  :kstatriot:

Darren Sproles passed Intro to Mass Comm w/ flying colors thanks to the Open note, open book, open Meatsauce scantron card testing policy.

some bro of mine had College Alg. w/ Allen Webb.  They were doing some sort of exercise w/ Skittles, except AW couldn't quit eating them.  Teammate next to AW told him to stop, and w/o any hesitation or remorse AW loudly said "I'm eatin em ni$$a!"

not class, but Michael Bishop almost ran a friend of mine over, and was so upset over it he was fighting back tears while apologizing.
