raising my hand above my head and clapping them together signalling a safety.

Sometimes when we are 4th and goal at the opponents one yard line, i will secretly hope we do not convert, just so i can urge the crowd to "get up" and do the safety-signal/clap combo.

It's quite a delight.

i normally fold my arms across my chest and act like i'm concentrating on the play to see what the opposing offense will run. but when i hear, "IT'S 3RD DOWN!" my arms will slowly unfold to cusping around my mouth for loud noises to occur.

Remember when Mcdonalds sponsored the score updates from around the Top 25 and Big 12, and they'd only show it about once or twice a quarter, and people always cheered their balls off when KU was getting blown out or like the 12th or 13th ranked team (when we were ranked ~15th) was losing?

I was def. one of those people.

Nebraska, '02. Some wiseguys in the student section brought a giant inflatable penis with "HUSK THIS" inscribed on it. Looking back, it was hilarious, but at the time, little Dlew12 pretended not to see it because I was with my dad and it wasn't very tasteful.

Although I held out for a long time, I've recently started doing the "WC" hand motion during the Purple Haze song the band plays because if you can't beat'em join'em, ya know?

What about when they play .

Everyone does K! S! U! and then there is that 3 or 4 beat section when there is nothing said and then WILDCATS!

Well, the new thing to do these days apparently the thing to do during that pause is say "motherfucking", then followed by wildcats.

little know secret about yelling when the other team is on offense. make a low bass sound with your voice and not a high freq shrill. upward spread of masking.
