I know it sounds pud but I like fishing for crappie and blue gill with really light tackle.

Its not pud at all and kind of fun.

I have a ultra light pole I use for bluegill and crappie, in fact I caught about 10 blue gill in Indian Crick on Tuesday. What did I do with the blue gill? Well I wrapped them up in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer of my garage fridge. Will use them as catfish bait sometime in the future

yeah, in kansas there are only like 3 weeks a year where it's even comfortable to be outside.

I don't eat them either. I keep them, take them home, put them in my aquarium, then force them to fight each other for my amusement.

No one needs to eat all that fish.

Nope, rarely ever keep the fish I catch, take a quick picture and let them go on their way. I fish for the thrill you get when when a fish first hits your line and takes off....Its a great feeling ya know?

I did fry up all those crappie I caught about 1 month ago and will occasionally clean some fish if I am camping.

Cleaning fish is the worst. I always have grandma do it for me. BTW, Ben ji, my GMA has stocked ponds in the flint hills in Eskridge if you're ever interested.

I wish we were buds in college wackycat, I would of been all up in your GMA's ponds.

Side Note-

If you are in manhattan and want to fish some farm ponds in the flint hills there are alot of them that are open access and listed in the KDW fishing guides available for free at walmart.

The directions are terrible and they basically just show up as a Dot on a grid but if you are desperate and feel like getting out in the country its a solid way to spend an afternoon.
