Roommate brought home approximately 50 lbs of spoonbill meat from some lake in missouri. Is this good stuff to eat?

Kind of what I figured, he mentioned they were a bottom feeder but only ate algae. If he fries some up I'll probably try it

I tried it once. Not a fan. Not sure what SD is basing his recommendo on, but I wouldn't based on it is weird tasting.

have heard they are a lot of fun to catch though.

I fish Au Naturel, no sprays or fancy smelling baits here.

I've tried some berkley power baits that are supposed to be "Irresistable" to fish but my experience tells me its just a marketing gimmick.

Probably gonna head down to the old boat dock in the next few days and see if I can catch some Flounder, just cooked some Wahoo on the grill over the weekend, and the Mahi Mahi should be going strong here in awhile.

you know what i just realized you guys? fish names are just the best. i mean dax alone just got to type the words "flounder" "wahoo" and "mahi mahi". that's a laugh riot and really a tribute to the guy whose job it was to name fish for a living.
