I doubt if the athletic department is using revenue money for endowments.   That money would transferred over to the Foundation.   They're looking for individuals to fund athletic endowments.   

Granted.  I was just thinking that of the $16.4 million in donations for the 2009-10 year, maybe some of those donations were specifically for endowments.

I obviously do not have the kind of money it takes to establish a scholarship endowment so I don't really know how the process works.  I was just throwing out an idea.

Wow,  good thing ku athletics steals nearly $3 million dollars a year from the students in the form of mandatory student support fees.   Otherwise they would have finished FY 2010 nearly $2 million in the hole.

Amazing how the students got conned in that sham student election where Lew was wining and dining the Student Senate up in the pressbox . . . now they hand over millions to a complete turd of a minor sports program.

Are you seriously still bitching about this?  $40 a semester is chump change, and the KU students are the ones who voted for the policy.  In return, we received millions of dollars worth of upgrades to the student recreation center as well.

The students could have voted to just use the fees to pay for the bonds to upgrade the Student Rec Center.   I suspect a lot more students care about the rec center then ever care about the turd olympic sports program at ku.  

There was a big article in the UDK discussing how Lew put the Student Senate in his pocket and pretty much bought them off.

Like I said, good thing for those fees, otherwise ku athletics  2010 is in the RED.
