A source familiar with the search process said Martin explored the possibility of bringing in another well-known recruiter by reaching out to a Division I assistant coach and to a director of basketball operations with deep New York recruiting connections, before settling on Evans.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Seems like we've done pretty well in NYC already, not sure why we would want to hire a guy with NYC connections.  Guess promoting a dude with FL connections doesn't make any more sense though, seems like Frank and Undy would have enough.

See, this is why people are not as friendly towards you as they could be.

You don't think we've done well in NYC or do you think we should just focus all resources there, rather than hire a recruiter who can open up a different recruiting area?

LBBIQ here.  Isn't it odd that Frank replaced the highest paid asst coach in college basketball with a grad asst?  I mean, one that has to go back to Manhattan to attend classes?  Or was Hill so far gone that it may actually improve recruiting?

meaningless that the hire was a grad assistant prior.  the NY option is only a dobo.

It makes me wonder if there is someone on the horizon that will be available after next season that Martin has his eye on.  Or, Martin is out of here soon anyway and soesn't GaF.
