The first day of the Big 12 Tourney has always been a loser fest, but this makes it even more humiliating to play on Wed. Either way, the Sprint Center is still going to be full of Iowa State fans that are just happy to be visiting the big city.

I bet Tractor Supply sets up a booth this year, and makes a killing.

It's always amazing to see the twinkle in their eyes on Wednesday when they finally get their raft onto dry ground

Plus, it is better that they experience the big city on a Wednesday and head home by Thursday. People are home, relaxing before work the next day. Considering most people are out and about on the weekend, it would just be straight culture shock for Iowans.....fancy driving machines that are not open air tractors.....black people drinking at the same bar as them!....women that don't live off of a cheese, milk, beef, and natural light diet....

With them getting back to Iowa on Thursday, they will still be able to help their neighbors raise a barn before church on Sunday.

If KU is listed as a "have not", how will they live with themselves? :goodbyecruelworld:

To give them credit, Iowans are very productive in their calling. Barn raising obviously being a part of some loosely defined devotion to the Lord.
