I would have loved to have seen your response, 8man.

I bet it was a pause, tilt of the head while trying not to smile, and then a sarcastic response like a total boss.

I got 6 bagels at Osco today on discount ($1 total).  Homeless guy on the walk home asked for some food, but declined my bagels, said he was "trying to eat some food, not some fuckin' dry ass bagels."  Guess I should have offered some Greek yogurt?  Perhaps some boneless chicken breasts (uncooked)?  :dunno:
New guy at work asked a bum on the street for directions to our office building (dumbass).   The bum threw a handful of chicken bones at him.   True story.

When you say you are eating plain bagels, you mean the bagel is plain flavor but then you still put some cream cheese on it, right? I can't eat a dry bagel...probably would if I was homeless though.

always toasted with some sort of topping. usually honey, cream cheese or peanut butter. i think blueberry bagels are the only ones i can eat untoasted and untopped.

We once had a girl bring bagels and NO cream cheese, AND the bagels were not sliced.  I literally asked her "What the eff am I supposed to do with this?"

I bet she had no answer to that.  There is no answer to that.

bagels are timeless.

another bagel anecdote: I was at an event during breakfast time and there were a ton of bagels of all savory and sweet varieties. The interesting part to this story is that whoever packaged these bagels in bags, gave no thought to what kind of bagels they were bagging with each other. There was a variety of bagel that was coated in some kind of roasted garlic pesto crap with huge chunks of garlic and the garlic aroma saturated all the other bagels of any kind.

You could have a blueberry roasted garlic bagel, a cinnamon raisin roasted garlic bagel, a maple brown sugar roasted garlic bagel, or any other kind of roasted garlic bagel you could imagine.

It actually combo'd well with any of the savory type bagels, as you would probably expect.

Anecdote over!
