It's pretty crazy.  I could GAF what something costs or what a bar tab or dinner bill is but I hoard airline and hotel miles like they are solid gold nuggets.  :dunno:  I always tell myself that if I paid more attention to what I was spending I could easily get back much more than what I get from miles but it just isn't the same.

Paying the extra $ for brand name food/medicine/etc? No, denied
Paying the extra $ for the "limited edition" of a movie/video game? Yes, approved

Also, at tax filing time I present tons of write offs that I spent a shitload of money on and document them religiously.  Most of them are huge bar tabs and stupid expenditures but then I get all anal about taxes and making sure I get credit for all those ridiculous purchases.  :dunno:

I don't even look at the cost of any of that stuff.  If one of them got me extra airline miles I would pick it though (no matter what the cost difference was).

I'm pretty frugal with cheap things, but not frugal at all with expensive things.

Spending money really pisses me off.  I used to love to blow cash. Now I'm tight as a nun's c*nt. I'm probably turning into an old tuck.  :frown:

Could care less about cost when it comes to food, entertainment, etc.

Only frugal on carpet, in that I have been putting off new carpet for about two years now.

Also, have no airline miles, but need to get in on this.

yeah, this is what I'm talking about.  that doesn't even make sense, right?  just pay attention to some of the money you blow on dumb crap and you could easily get that carpet.

oh hey, sd, was just thinking that someone who wasn't frugal might see a lot of opportunity in buying high dollar bball tix for the donation tax deduct & cc miles and then using 2-3 games a year and giving the other games away to townies.  might be up your alley.

I would just get the best carpet they have and replace as necessary without even caring what it costs. I refuse to buy name brand groceries, though.

Yeah it's weird that most people watch their pennies but don't watch their dollars.  I'm guilty of the same thing.

Wow, the rare self-denial.  Can only be seen in the wild once every 6 years or so.
