If a Walmart/bestbuy/mall gets hit - Why is looting illegal? Seriously, who does it hurt? None of that crap is going to be salvaged; It's not like I'm stealing individuals personal photo albums or something that insurance can't replace.

Would you loot, even if there was slight concern you may get caught?

I read an article that some cops had set up outside of a store in Joplin to stop looters, and I wanted to shoot them for not doing something else like HELPING ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WERE DYING. Seriously, looting should be allowed.

Not sure how much of that would be salvageable anyways. Let people get supplies as needed. You going to deny a person some Wal-Mart brand tennis shoes because they didn't have time to put them on before the tornado rolled through?

those cops are not only not helping dying tax payers, but they are keeping they dying tax payers' family and friends from looting all the medical supplies from Wal-Mart.

Plenty of looters go after homes as well. Seriously, the people who lost their homes are usually not the people looting. Those people are too busy cleaning up the mess and trying to salvage what's left/run off looters to actually go looting the Wal-Mart.

I will agree that it is not the best use of the police department's time to protect giant corporations from looters, but people who decide to go rob somebody right after they get hit by a natural disaster, even if that person owns a Wal-Mart, are the lowest form of scum on the earth.
