Anyone that wants to take a huge trip to europe or somewhere and wants to use miles and and junk can post requests here or the credit card thread as well. :fatty:  I get off on helping with that stuff.  This particular trip is difficult because it is out of mileage range for me because of the amount of people and the desire to stay at a rental house and not a hotel

Doesn't Hyatt, Marriott, etc. offer resort type thing (not an isolated house but more homey than hotels)?

Stayed here for Thanksgiving.

Water Color has a bunch of nice homes for rent.  Pool, clubhouse, everyone rents bikes for the time to ride around in.  Beach close.  No idea on cost.  They have a pretty decent search function on there to find homes.

what is the budget (for airline tix/person)?  if you hit it right, you might be able to get to uruguay via miami for something reasonable.  stay in montevideo or colonia.  you could fly into buenos aires just as easily if it was cheaper.

a) yeah, but no.
b) i don't really have a strong feel on budget but would imagine it would need to be less than $10k for flight/hotel for all 8

A couple of thoughts...

1) you guys can vacation mhk and stay at my place during that  time frame if you want. We won't be here, enough rooms etc. In favor I only ask that you...

2) ask matriarch/patriarch combo to adopt my family. Instant grandkids for them. Boom.

sys will throw his full support behind the rick daris suggestion if it includes hoops tickets for that time period left behind on the kitchen counter for the daves to use.

But only because sys would manipulate sd in to giving up the tix.

Phoenix.

hmmmm, would be dealing with bowl crowds which we would obviously not be a part of.  what would my family do?  also, my wife may get checked for proof of citizenship which would make me kill a cop so may not be the best option.

What does your family like to do?

Last winter, my family (and families and sig. others) got a giant beach house on Lake Michigan. Was dirt cheap and a lot of fun (although there was nothing to do but hang out with a bunch of badasses (me and my family)).

pretty much that.  they are a loose group.  if there is skiing we would ski, if there was hiking we would hike, etc.  parents just want something that gets everyone together over an extended period with no outside distractions I guess.

Would be a nice boon to the weight room mottos thread.  Speaking of which...

i think you could do it for about that.  the house would be cheap, it'd mostly just be airfare.  quito is really cheap for some reason, somaybe you should go to quito.

but i was just kidding about all those places, mostly.  i really think you go to kansas city (plaza) or tulsa (oklahoma weather).

Do Las Vegas deals go here, or on one of the many Las Vegas related threads?  Anyway, here is a good deal I found.  New members at the Tropicana get up to $200 in losses from slot machines reimbursed on the first day thier membership is activated.  It's on the tropicana website.  If anybody else has any good Las Vegas deals, let me know.

Anchorage Alaska, late summer. Friends only, no family.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
