also, oceans of fun? that place seems like it would be pretty horrible with a couple of little kids. you can add it to the wof pass for like another ten bucks a person or so but i'm guessing i don't want to. seems gross. thoughts?

Don't do it! White trashy doesn't even begin to explain that place. I almost flew off one of there slides one time and died. Don't do it rick, just don't do it!

man oh man, this is going to be great.  can't wait for KCompton's finest to show rick daris and family a great time at WoF next summer.  if they ask you what set you claim, just make something up but try to make it sound official.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

amusement parks are definitely white trashy, but i'm a fan.  the best part about season passes is that you can stay only for a couple hours per trip and not feel ripped off.

this is a good point imo.  I would hate to have the pressure of feeling you need to see/do everything.

I got an Omaha zoo season family pass 2 years ago....I have no kids  :surprised:

So how do you organize your trips? Do you wake up and have a craving to see some giraffes?

Or do you separate your day trips to a different type of species?

Seems real weird if you're not a vet or something. idk though.

I will mainly hit up the gorillas, aquarium (penguins  ) and whatever we catch at feeding time.  We go about once a year.

this is exactly where i'm at, but would love to hear from someone that has taken kids there within the last ten years.

I went to the Omaha Zoo in 6th grade on a field trip from Sioux City, Iowa. We watched that Ed movie on the way there (Joey from friends, and the ape that played baseball). I wore my brand new black nike shirt and I got poop'd on by a bird. I was the laughing stock of the whole trip. Kids gave me crap for weeks. That zoo will never have a chance in my book.  :embarrassed:

Parents get those season passes and just leave their kids there all day, seems like a good idea.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

one time a peacock flew into the polar bear exhibit at the Omaha zoo and the bear ate it.  that was free with price of admission.

KC zoo is better for the animals than the people looking at the animals. Most of them have a shitload of room.

One time at WoF I rode the one spinning ride that is like inside that little house/building and my wallet flew out of my pants into the seat but I didn't know it and then I realized it like 10 min later and I went back and somebody had turned in my wallet but the 50 bucks that was inside my wallet was gone.
