I had a Vista burger in June for the first time since I was a teenager. It tasted exactly the same as I remember and was awesome.

the burger shack has been good for a long time, but it's been a while since i've seen a report
Haven't had it since before it was Ana's but yes, it was always good. Just don't make it over to that part of town all that often. Also, mocat you owe a MHK restaurant review after your visit on Sunday/Monday.

Sunday night waks took me to el patron (mhk). I was locked into ordering la gringa (al pastor quesadilla) until the last second and got pollo el patron instead. Will be hard to order differently next time. Would maybe get guacamole on the side just for some greenery. It's a generous portion tho. Delicious

Monday i asked waks for a lunch rec and he suggested 2 Mexican places. Wasn't sure if he was blacked out the night before or if he switched to an all Mexican diet or what but I ended up at Frida's. Carnitas tacos with corn tortillas (comes with guacamole). Pretty much perfect

I knew you had been pedaling and needed the calories. Also knew you hadn't been to either.

i'm always surprised how busy their parking lot looks.
Also their grass is hilariously well kept in front of their place.

Tried the new diner in Aggieville, Full Circle, for brunch today. They were out of quiche (lol would not have ordered) and B&G because they got slammed but the brisket bennie I had was great. Was really impressed with the food and service considering it was their first week open.

can't wait to try it and be disappointed!

Bootsie's officially opens tomorrow. I went to the soft opening over the weekend. Cool vibe as you would expect from any plane Julie Haynes helps design. Food was good. Sandwiches and pizzas. Seems like more of a lunch place than the Mediterranean place people were going for. It will be interesting to see how it does.

Hope it works (not beef a roo I could give 0 shits) but I do feel for a spot to work in Bootsie's it's definitely gotta be unique.
