Trader Joes doesn't have nearly wide enough aisles for mhk townies.

They absolutely are trying to get a grocery store and a parking garage built on the west end of aggieville.  It is very dumb unless that drives demand to the point where aggieville finally gets more dense, but I don't believe that will happen.

kansas liquor laws alone would keep trader joes from going into mhk. varneys might close but it won't be replaced with a trader f'ing joes or any grocery store for that matter. parking, you effing idiots.
it didn't stop them from opening in leawood, they just don't sell booze.  not everything is about the booze,

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

went to this new hot poa that opened up in west mhk earlier this week. It's over by Mr k's and it's called old chicago. Fantastic beer menu and to die for pepperoni rolls. Not sure who owns but it should do well.

Went there a couple of weeks ago. It is an upgrade over the old Old Chicago. Better TV arrangement and lots of natural lighting.

The bartender mentioned that the old location would be vacant for a while. OC's lease with MTC goes thru the end of the year. With the new movie theater going in it will be interesting to see what takes its place in such a prime location.

you need to immediately begin hardening your heart for the moment fitz tweets at your daughter

First I laughed a little, then I became depressed and enraged at the prospect of this happening.

i thought about this again when I heard about GPC HQ moving to poyntz

Academy Sports?
Walmart Neighborhood Market?

Also have heard Varneys is on tough times with GTM Superstore busting open.  Have heard want of a grocery store in the Ville too, but not there.

I think someone already shamed someone else for suggesting a grocery store in the ville but it's worth repeating.

can you imagine a mother and her 6 kids grocery shopping one day after school, they start wheeling their cart out the door, only to glance across the street and see EVER-Y-THING

I think it is very much on some people's minds. Trouble is location (obvs).  It's just weird to suggest the death of varneys is going to lead to a store there.  Seems like people are conflating two possibilities.

looks like Dunkin Doughnuts is about to open on McCall, Arby's is hiring people, and BK is open. Orscheln looks ready to go as well. I've heard that the future has McCall rd continuing into 4th street as well.  Not sure how I feel about that.
