i didn't think it was too big. it was actually pretty full the whole time I was there, and for a Wednesday night during the summer when the students are gone, I'd say that's pretty good. can they sustain that, idk, but it was pretty neat

i feel for the wait staff that has to run up and down 4 flights of stairs to get anything but the most basic drinks

They need a bathroom for the rooftop patrons that doesn't require the aforementioned several flights of stairs.

I thought I saw you there! 1st time though. Went with a vegetarian or I would have downed that Chorizo and Crab Dip app.

:peek: Bar was full so we gave the patio a try. They surprisingly serve Apps & Pizzas up there. Buffalo Sweat wings and Poutine is great.

taphouse tidbits:

-they are always out of their taphouse beers. boo.
-poutine is great
-chorizo crab dip is great, but they gave us the chip shards from the ass of the chip bag
-taphouse burger is excellent, fries are excellent
-fish n chips not very good. good fish chunks within but the crust is way too thick and doughy like a donut. also has like cinnamon and allspice in it or something. wasnt into it. good tartar sauce tho
-pizza not very good to me. good size, price and great authentico crust, but horrible sauce. very sweet and bland.
-midwest paella very good with a very good steak on it BUT it was not paella. very saucy and tomato-y. maybe i would let them call it a risotto.
-they have a seating system that txts you your remaining time and when your table is ready. this is nice because you can wander poyntz or go to finns or something while you wait
-mac cheese. not a big fan. the elbow noodles and cheese sauce didnt seem restaurant worthy.

In regards to availability of their house beers... Keep in mind that they've only been open for a month and it takes approx a month to brew beer. I'm sure they'll figure it out.

The Konza is my favorite :lick:

Was this ordered all in one visit that you mixed together in one giant bowl?

the "puni challenge"

waiters just clear off uneaten food scraps from people's plates and toss it all into a firkin and let it hang out until the gravity get to where it's needed (currently unknown variable)

if a four-person team can finish off the firkin in an hour, get a t-shirt or something?

While i agree i'd rather have another type of noodle, to me the flavor was excellent. Of course we added in Bacon and Corn.
