I just feel fortunate to live in a community that can have multiple successful fundraisers for great causes on the same weekend.

i mean it's called brew at the zoo and they somehow ran out of brew despite the fact that it was only a three hour event and ended at nine compared to cbb which went from six til midnight. also, food was apparently a walking taco station next to some prairie dogs. all in all, i'm not sure we have the same definitions for "successful".

speaking of walking tacos, i'll have to fire some up for next week's isu-cats game.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I can't tell if daris hates zoos or Tallgrass, but it has to be one or there other. Can someone with a higher RRBDIQ help me out here?

Whatever happened to the tall grass brewpub for downtown? Still happening?
Last I heard they were still searching for a chef. I'd imagine they're still a year away from opening

Talked to someone from Tallgrass at Brew at the Zoo last week... They said it would likely be March or April-ish.
should've asked them how they run out of beer at brew at the zoo

They ran out of beer for about 10 minutes before restocking the 8 Bit and Ethos...Their two best beers IMO.

Also, anyone who goes to a beer tasting at a zoo and expects a gourmet meal is an idiot. The walking tacos were kind of Iowa'y tho.

Ate at 4Olives for lunch. The muffuletta was great. The bloody mary was disappointing though.

I mean, is that a policy at your work?  Why can't a responsible adult drink an adult beverage responsibly at lunch?

Stopped by Arrow for a cup of coffee this morning. GREAT coffee, but I'm not sure if it's worth the wait...I was first in line and it took almost 10 minutes to get my coffee.

I also felt out of place due to my lack of beard, thick rimmed glasses, and/or beanie  :frown:

Is there a "hating hipsters" master thread?   Seems like there should be.
