What is everyone planting this year?  I'm going to put in two roma tomato plants and a bunch of herbs (basil and cilantro mostly).  I'm also giving myself the option of planting one chile plant and one green pepper plant but haven't committed.  Anyone have a good recommendo for a versatile chile to plant that isn't a jalapeno, habanero or serrano?

actually went to the home depot and picked up some seeds yesterday.

To start, planting carrots, kale, swiss chard, lettuce, and broccoli.

Will probably do some squash, cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes when it warms up.

Doing some tomatoes, bell peps, sweet cherry tomatoes, and some pole beans this year.

Also have chives and basil.

Thought long and hard about planting cilantro but had many people tell me that if you don't pick it at the right time, it gets really bitter.  So, no cilantro.

Thinking about some lettuce and parsley though.  Haven't decided yet on these.

Have also thought about sweet potatoes.  If I pull the trigger on these, it will be in the city's utility easement behind my fence.  There is nothing else back there, and I know for a 100% fact that everything in the easement is at least 5' down(we live on a hill and I saw them install it all).

we tried to plant potatoes over the winter, they came out sorta weird. now i'm kind of beginning to doubt my gardening skills.

Is this the time of year to plant herbs and peppers and such?

Will ask Carlos and Joe what is going in my all organic garden this year and report back. I assume it mainly consists of plants that promote a great figure.

Mint is great for gardens.  Really nice aroma for the entire yard.

I hope so, as it will crowd out and spread all over the entire yard if not contained right.

Can't the terraced rock be considered part of "the landscaping"?
