If the Big XII gets an extra team into the BCS they will make around 1/6 of the amount of money that we just sold our secondary rights for football games to Fox.
The BCS is irrelevant.
Let's say that in 4 years from now, if Boise State decides to go independent, they might win all their games and go to a BCS bowl. They would make $18 million dollars to keep all to themselves (This is fantasyland. They need a conference.) In the same year, Kansas State might go 0-9 in the Big XII but will still make $10 million more than Boise just from the Big XII television revenue (This is not fantasyland. This is going to happen.)
The BCS is irrelevant.
