I'm sad that my source to the inner workings of the football program are gone... Thanks Snyder for running off another coach so I can't get info from his wife anymore...

I'd like to know more about Torell Miller, cornerback situatin (namely Nigel Malone and Randall Evans), Zac Trujillo as a player, BJ Finney and Tomasi Mariner, Allred at DT, Meshak and Kyle Klein.....interested in hearing about those fellers.  thanks.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Please report any information that allows me to have hopes of a September football game without Klein as the starter.

Torell "Toe" Miller- Big, Physical, Average to Below average hands, average route running.
Nigel Malone- Should be our #1 CB going into camp, depending on what position you classify Rat as.
Randle Evans- Lots of raw physical tools, inconsistent, stiff hips/lower body
Zac Trujillo- Career scout teamerr
BJ Finney- Should be #1 Center going into fall, at his best when he is run blocking
Tomasi Mariner- Big,strong, slow, decent hands, below average feet
Jordan Allred- Big, strong, good at taking up blockers, should challenge for a starting job, undisclosed injury
Meshak- doesn't wow me but by far the most consistent of the DEs, should start
Kyle Klein- Ran one of the fastest 40s of any position during the offseason, bad mechanics, quicks learner

I heard BB is not guaranteed the starting RB job and that some guy none of us have ever heard of really does things the right way and is pushing BB in practice.

thank you.  so, basically, Mariner is like our guards last year.  Both were bulky and not exactly ballerinas in terms of feet or agility.  Watching either move on the second level was almost painful to watch.  Good at the point of attack but anything outside of that they were average.

Sounds like Evans might be something they can work with

If Allred can anchor and cross face when he's initially beat he'll be the starting nose.  thanks javonta boyd for being a wasted scholie.

In your opinion should Klein be moved to OLB or stay at DE?  Does he have the type of frame that can get up to 250, maybe even 260?  I wonder if his running one of the better 40 times is an indictment on our team speed or is he just that fast?  Judging by his signing day video he looked like a Leber type, possibly one day, since it appears he can play out in space.

Mob,

How well does Torell Miller run?  Any quicks?

Klein will remain at DE as far as I know. He is really tall and lanky and definitely has weight to add. He and his brother are both just freak athletes.

Torell has decent speed, doesn't get in and out of his quicks as well as others, but he has the tools. He came in as a safety, and you can tell that he is still learning the position.

I really like Evans, he has tremendous upside and will definitely see time this year, he just needs more coaching. Hayes is doing a great job with him. (Hayes is a douchebag but he has a lot of experience and is a good teacher.)

Evans was like a gift as a walk-on.  He measured 6'0 and ran a digitally timed 4.5 40 at one of those nike combines prior to his senior year.  Then he made 2nd team All-Dade county by the Miami Herald...Dad and Broward are probably the most talent rich counties in the U.S. so it says something.

I mean drink Peppermint Schapps instead of using mouthwash, put some coffee in your liquor, pass out on the floor of your office and have Whitney drag your drunk ass home hard. :frown:

This is already Sean's team. :frown:
