I like the Miami Heat. But I'm not a bandwagon Lebron James/Dwyane Wade Heat fan. I've liked the Heat since Harold Miner and Glen Rice won the slam dunk and 3-point contests respectively in the 1995 All Star Game festivities. After that season they became my favorite team when they acquired Alonzo Mourning from the Charlotte Hornets. (The Hornets were my previous favorite team with the trio of Alonzo Mourning/Larry Johnson/Mugsy Bogues, I had a really cool Charlotte Hornets starter jacket) Alonzo Mourning was my favorite player for some reason so when he went to the Heat they became my favorite team and I've liked them ever since.

i do enjoy the heat now and don't begrudge bandwagon fans, though it's pretty awesome you have a connection to them from way back. i remember glen rice from the cover of that one n64 nba game that was kinda bad. what if nba jam let them both be on the same team instead of picking one of them for the arcade version and the other for the snes version? they would probably be unstoppable.

i grew up a phoenix suns fan because i grew up there, and i can't stand the san antonio spurs to this day (they're good)
