Little surprised the game on Wed isn't sold out yet. Still 50 Cauldron tickets available, and regular tickets available too. :(

I will be very disappointed if there are empty seats.

Also just found out there is no away goal rule in the MLS.

what is this mean for us non-MLS studs who just like skc?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I wish there was an away goal rule (not just because we have an away goal).

But yeah, could be a long, intense game like the USOC final. :excited:

Fwiw, I will be in absolute shock if it's not packed on Wednesday.

Now, Cauldron tickets are open to the public. $35 for members. $37 for non-members.

https://www.kccauldron.com/cauldron-shop/tickets.cfm

Buy them if you're not going and go...

Away goal rule means, in a two-leg series (home and home), if total aggregate goals finish even, whoever has the most away goals will advance.

For example, if the away goal rule was in effect this season:

The result on Saturday was NE 2-1 SKC.

If we would come home and win 1-0, total goals would be even at 2-2. However, because we'd have the one away goal, we'd advance.

What do they do instead, extra time and penalties?

Yeah. So, if we win by 1 goal, no matter the score, we'll go to extra time and then penalties. If we win by more than one goal, we win the series. If we lose/draw, we're eliminated.

I found out today that in the Mexican playoffs, if the aggregate score is tied after two legs, the higher seed advances... That's so dumb.

MLSE boss Tim Leiweke tells me @Drake is helping MLSE score a top soccer star for Toronto FC, soccer star is a Drake fan #drizzy

TFC has been talking about for about a year getting a couple big time DPs. They were previously linked with Diego Forlan.

Saw a rumor that it's Mario Balotelli this time.

Whether or not you believe that's even remotely realistic, that'd be huge for the league. To have a superstar DP who isn't 30+. Other great DPs no one had previously heard of like Diego Valeri. Doesn't do much for the league in terms of recognizing players like Beckham, Henry, Keane did (and Balotelli would).

Also, would be huge for Toronto. They could be a great club one day. Just have had terrible luck and bad leadership. Potential is huge for them if they make the right decisions.

Would love for SKC to make a splash in the DP market. Drogba in KC

No big name DP will ever come to KC. No chance for Drogba, maybe we could get Jones.

Too many people skipping the conference semis and waiting for the conference finals.......

There are at least a few of them in this thread.

It's not that I am worried about the cauldron that should be filled it's just when those tickets are on the market for so long it is a great gauge of the temperature around the game in general. Also, gut is telling me, we won't make it to the CFs :(

Yeah.. I know what you mean. I was at the Houston playoff games the last two seasons. I don't know if I can bear the heart break again. I'm so cynical, I'm at the point where I expect to lose in the playoffs until I see us win. That Colorado series was forever ago.

 Sapong  Bieler   Zusi

     Joseph  Feilhaber
             Uri

Seth  Besler Collin Myers
           Jimmy

I'd love to fit in Soony somehow, but every time Zusi and Benny play together in the midfield, they suck ass. I'd also accept putting Zusi with Haitian Xavi in the midfield. Then slotting in Soony at the wing.

We all know Bieler isn't going to start though. It'll be Teal or Dom in the middle.

Also still 34 Cauldron tickets left shocking im getting scared there will be some empties.

Fwiw, at the Olimpia game it was also mid-week (Tues or Wed). It was cold as crap (and there was rain in the forecast), and there were like 15k people there.

This is a playoff game against a team people have heard of. Plus, I don't think it will be quite as cold (forecast says around 40). Those last 34 tickets will be sold by Wed night. There were 600 on that site instead of the usual 300 or whatever.

They practically gave tickets away to that and those were included in STH packages.
