He is very butthurt about soccer gaining popularity.  Really wants to tear it down and make it something else.  Can't stand the stoppage time, the low scoring, and the ties.  He's pretty Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

dude called in asking if he'd ever played soccer.  BITB dodged the question, saying that golf has commercial breaks, why not soccer.  Caller responded that golf has a lot of down time.  BITB - so does soccer.  cued up a smoke n' fire commercial.

Sporting puts on a pre game show like a 12 year old boy and that's an awesome compliment! #blowstuffup

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

soldado to spurs official, setting our transfer record

 :D

Also a lot of rumors that bale will be going nowhere, and there hasn't really been an official bid from Madrid.

Lot of trash journalism this summer.

I stopped listening to talk sports in KC for a while, like two months.  When i started trying again, I found that it is almost unbearable.  I like the 610 afternoon show and that is about it.  Is it the Royals/summer effect, or have they always been this bad?

Guy thought he was on his flight to Seattle (From San Francisco). Took a pic with him. Turns out he went to a different gate. Don't know where he actually flew to.

Damn, guess who's on my flight to Seattle? So random. Blurry photo credit to his handler. #Dempsey #Golazo #USMNT pic.twitter.com/gd7G5uDkF8

Well, spoke too soon. He just went to a different gate.

This picture surfaced a bit later. Probably 'shopped.

My theory is that he's in the states to speak with one of the many big European clubs here on their USA tour. Also, friend of mine mentioned to me that the first tweet could just be "Golazo" trying to get press. :dunno:

As a neutral spectator, I think you need him to leave. If you really get 100 rough ridin' million pounds for him, Tottenham will be a much better overall team next season (depending how you spend it) and will finally finish above Arsenal in the table. :excited:

thanks for the update s_c.  yeah, doesn't sound like anyone really knows anything (common theme around WHL lately).

would hate to see him go back to MLS and would be weird, so hopefully all wrong info.  don't really care if he stays at spurs but would like to see him continue to do well somewhere.

Surely he still has another season or two in the Premiership, and in a world cup year he should be playing in a tougher league. Unless he really wants to make use of Washington's new laws.

Vermes probably told Zusi to fake coming up limp 15 minutes in. Give the home fans what they wanted, a cameo and chance to take pictures, rest up for Saturday.

Agree with all. I think it could still turn out well for him and his WC if he came to MLS, but I prefer he stay at the highest level of competition possible as long as he's starting consistently.

He is very butthurt about soccer gaining popularity.  Really wants to tear it down and make it something else.  Can't stand the stoppage time, the low scoring, and the ties.  He's pretty Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

A few years back, right after Sporting announced the name change and revealed the jerseys, he was highly, highly critical. "They just beat Manchester United, they're getting a new stadium, great opportunity to finally get the Wizards or some other regionally-appropriate name established, and instead they're just going to copy some European thing. This is why soccer struggles in the US, because they can't establish their own thing. It's always just copying Europe. What a strange name. I don't know how this will benefit them. Folks around here aren't likely to understand that name or embrace it. We'll see."

Oh man, do you remember how pissed he and Jack were when Sporting refused to let them call them "Sporties" and how Jack made so much fun of the announcer for having an British accent?

Pfft.

Closed minded retards.

I remember when USMNT hired Jurgen, and KK was interviewing some int'l soccer expert, and KK asked him if it was odd that the US team hired a German coach. Something along the lines of "I mean shouldn't the coach of a national team be from that country?"
The interviewee was speechless for a bit, and then said "I have been in and around soccer for my entire life, all around the world, and never once has that thought ever occurred to me and I have never encountered that idea anywhere ever."
