Convey to Toronto for a 3rd rounder in the Super Draft.

Getting only a 3rd for him is pretty wasteful, would have thought a 2nd for sure. Hopefully they took his full salary

We traded him. How could we still be paying his salary?

I agree a 3rd round pick is pretty much always crap, but it's better than having him waste away on the bench. He was making 200 thousand dollars a year (relatively high paid for a Sporting player) to get injured, rarely impact the team, and sit on the bench. Also, we have so many options at forward. He's probably towards the bottom of that long list. And since we have Josh Gardner now, we don't need him as emergency left back depth.

No idea. Just read some recent discussion on their message boards where it was implied that Toronto could have in effect only picked up half of Bobby's salary, etc.  Since no one knows the financial terms, it's all just speculative crap anyway.

I guess Bobby was not too pleased about how he was given the boot:

Not really surprising, Hercules Gomez doesn't really care for Peter/KC either in how they still hold his rights...

The fact that Herculez didn't like Peter (which I agree is true) makes me hate Herculez. And I could give a eff what Bobby Convey thinks. That guy is a rough ridin' girl.

And yeah, MLS finances are so damn complicated. Not even worth worrying about. I know the basics.

and that he loves the beautiful spurs and that once newc wins, we're all going to skip down the road together and newc will be invited to all our CL games
