Also sidenote: a Pogba return is very very needed after what I saw on Sunday. He's so important and has been underrated this season.

I agree about Europa, its why it's a lost season. Also agree on Pogba, I have no idea what people's problem is but they seem to hate him in England. The fans and media are way too tough on him.

It's been bizarre to watch. He's absolutely brilliant and will only get better. I'm excited to see him after a full summer of rest and a proper preseason.

As far as the season goes, I'd be fine with the two trophies and qualifying for UCL in Mou's first year. Never gonna compete for the title after drawing like 12 home games or whatever it is. But they're solid in the back and are creating more chances this year. It's a way better feeling now compared to the LvG days IMO and I think they'll compete for the title next season.

That would constitute a great season for West Ham. With this roster and "The Chosen One" no one saw 5th place. Look at this list of garbage we have home draws against

Swans

Those are just home draws in the league, that's gross.

I might have picked them to win it all, but would you have rather finished in 2nd place with no trophies, or win the League Cup and Europa. I agree it probably will be a bad season if you don't win Europa and end up back in the Champions League then yeah it sucks, but if you still end up in the champions league with two trophies, it is much better than making it with none.

I want Europa badly. It's a European trophy and gets you CL group stage. It's actually better than 4th place (playoff round)

sw you're misrepresenting what I said. Of course I want to win Europa, doesn't change the fact that finishing in fifth with this roster, with this manager hype, is unacceptable and below the excepted standard at Old Trafford. Wenger is about to get fired for having a similar season.

Good post, SW, and congrats on the league. How silly is the "Spurs gonna Spurs" talk after yesterday. Chelsea were 11 points clear in February and Totty won 9 in a row to make a race out of it. They are legit now and have a lot to look forward to.
