Is there any scenario conceivable where Arsenal doesn't win the whole damn thing next year? Probably not, but need sd to confirm.

There are literally zero scenarios where Arsenal win the league next year fwiw

canco

2017-18 European qualification is a good goal for next years Arsenal team.

Very unsurprising. https://twitter.com/Everton/status/730779957513863168

LOL at that wording. I really like Roberto Martinez, I'll take him if Giggsy doesn't get the job.
I've always liked him too. Not sure what the issue was at Everton.

Midtable salaries and roster, midtable finished

There's enough talent there to finish higher than they did. Melted down last part of the season. I think there's something to Baines' chemistry comments.

What you said and what I said can coexist. They will finish either 11th or 12th, they have the 8th best salary and are virtually nonexistent in the acquisition of high quality transfers. I mean it's a ridiculous notion that Martinez holds on to his job if Everton finishes 7th, 8th, or 9th.

He could have been pushed out just because he (allegedly) can't control the locker room. I agree, finishing just below tenth shouldn't be fireable. Doesn't change my high opinion of him.

The race for 4th and 5th next year should be even more intriguing.

Lost in the Leicester story was the complete overachieving of truck nutz united as well. I'm sure they'll (try to) spend a whole lot of money this off season. They've sold 55,000 season tickets for next season already, that's 15,000 more than capacity at Boleyn Ground.

Not sure who makes top 4 out of Tottenham, City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Spurs and City are set, the others need to add pieces so we'll see what happens but my point was that truck nutz united will probably be in that mix too. Southampton has the 5th best goal differential in the league this year, if they follow the Leicester model of carrying over a hot finish they'll be in the mix too. We have more reason to believe that the hammers and Southampton will be in the mix more so than Chelsea and Liverpool.

I'll bet you any amount of money you want that Chelsea finish higher than Southampton next season.

No freaking chance I'd take that bet because obviously Chelsea has a much better chance of improving their roster, but if they don't land their targets they're mumped. Ask me about this bet again in August.

It's time for the promotion playoffs.  Lots of good story lines.

I'm hoping for an AFC Wimbledon/ Portsmouth final in league two.  Would love to see either go up.  Maybe inclined towards Wimbledon, but even Accrington Stanley is a great story.

League one is the most meh.  Maybe pull for Millwall.  They are always semi-interesting and a short away day for Fulham.

Championship - Derby County always have a good backing.  But I think I'd prefer Brighton or Wednesday to go up.  Hull is gross.  Do not want.

As far as sports go, this is my second favorite time of year after the opening rounds of the NCAAs.

Who do you guys got?

Wimbledon, Millwall would be fun to hate if they ever got back to the top flight, and gtfooh Hull Tigers are awesome.

Scot, grats on JT

Muffin, I want Pompey from league 2 (Ian Darke's fave team), Bradford from league 1 because I know a nice Brad, and Wednesday from the championship because I want to tell family and coworkers that United are playing a team named Wednesday, for the laughs.
