We're proud to announce that Rob Cassidy has been hired by Rivals.com as it's new West Coast football recruiting analyst. Rob is a great reporter and has earned this opportunity. With this hire, Rob will be leaving PI/GPC and moving to Phoenix in July. As a result, we are beginning the process of hiring a new reporter to spearhead our men's basketball coverage.

Re: Staff announcement

Fitz,

My wife is a journalism grad from KSU and a current reporter and we're wanting to move to Manhattan.  She currently is with a newspaper, but she doesn't cover sports.  She loves football and has a passion for KSU football (was 4 years in the marching band), but I'm trying to get KSU hoops in her blood.  She currently covers local school districts.  How would she go about contacting you?  Or could you (can you) tell me how you're placing ads?  Or you could just tell me I'm wasting my time as she doesn't currently cover sports.. my feelings won't be hurt.

And along that.. if you were to hire her does that mean my membership would be free??

Collen Klein sounds like he has a lot of those intrinsic values of Coach Snyder.  He knows and understands the 16 principles that Snyder pushes, he has utilized them to great success.
He just may be our man in about 10 years.

God damn them.  They have to go and ruin every good thing we have.

We can't just enjoy Klein.  We have to compare him to LHC Bill Snyder and wish for him to be our head coach at the age of 33.

I hate to say it, but he's right.  Klein should be our man and I don't see the need to wait 10 years.

Player/coach. Just imagine him walking into a youngster's home with his arms all bloody, and he says "Ya see this? I will fight for you to come to Kansas State University and to be as successful as you can be. Every. Man. A. Wildcat!"

  OMG.  I've seen it all.  Gates getting his panties in a wad that somebody said FITZ is drunk at Stampede, when 99.9% of his juvenile tweets are about...being drunk.

I know that idiots at GPC are source of continuous fodder, but, seriously.  What in the eff is with these people?

Don't be mad when a subscriber assumes TF is likely hammered at stampede when almost all of his tweets/jokes during the podcasts are about liquor consumption.  It'd be a totally different thing to accuse someone that never mentions it, but that's just not the case with Fitz.

In this day of hyper fast social media, it would probably be shared with friends and neighbors before a kid tells a reporter, but if it is, we'll be there to follow up with a story or two to provide depth.
