i understand this is the rebel board and everything and am very thankful for the huggins push and the pay frank situation. if frank leaves i think some of the shirt tuck's fears are legitimate when it comes to hiring people like oscar pearl. pearl is not a huggins situation. pearl is an idiot who gets caught cheating and then makes the situation worse because he is an imbecile. there isnt a better coach with kstate connections out there right now but there are lots of better coaches than pearl and kstate only has to find 1.

oscar Pearl had some recruits over for hot dogs and burgers, and then did a dumb thing and lied about it to the NCAA.

I agree with Dax. The only thing Pearl really did wrong was not blush and say "awww, shucks," after he was caught. He lied. Any avid Scooby-Doo watcher can tell you that everyone tries to lie when they get caught. If anything, his lying tells me that he's exactly the man for the job. He's a guy who wants to win and will do anything to achieve those wins. The only reason not to hire him is his forth-coming hearing. Since it looks like Frank might drag his feet on moving to Miami until June, we might be able to her Pearl on the "courthouse steps" if his hearing goes well.

Only a tuck would give a crap about a coach with KSU connections.

Just go hire the best guy out there. If he has KSU connections, fine, but if someone is better, go hire them instead.

This theory that any coach must be the love child of Jack Hartman and Mike Ahern is ridiculous. In reality only one coach over the lasy 60 + years has actually had ties and that was Lonnie and he used those ties to get especially close with the coeds.

I could give a rats ass about kstate ties..I want to win, oscar Pearl gives us the best shot at doing that.
