JFC Clams, it's delicious.  I can honestly say that their B&G is some of the best I have had.  You are the tiny, tiny minority here on this issue.   

My point here is that there are fantastic weekday breakfast specials available at Ingredient.  Also, is emawblast suggesting that the deceased kid was a poster on this site?

IIRC, this would be the first murder victim that we have had a poster.  I know of at least one poster who is a murderer, but it was "justifiable homicide," but still sorta counts as murder.

BTW, does your local Ingredient do the half pizza and half salad combo special?  Mine does.  My favorite is the maple chicken sausage pizza with caramelized onions with a side caser salad.  At first, I thought chicken sausage sounded terrible, but now I really like it.

Sweet tomatoes is kinda similar...I guess I'd say that Ingredient is a pretty nuvo fusionish...losts of crazy salads and sandwich combinations. It's also a cross between fast food and formal restaurant style.  You order up front at the counter and they bring you your food....the food quality is very high.

When kids kill kids, everyone immediately looks around for someone to blame.  I feel sorry for the murderer's parents.   Part of me wants to immediately assume that they are  horrible people, but part of me thinks that their kid might have just won the bat crap crazy lottery.  Sad deal.

I haven't been to a Paradise Bakery.  However, it looks like it's a cross between Panera and Jason's Deli.

If you've been to a Jason's Deli, I would call Ingredient a hipster version of Jason's Deli, but instead of a salad "bar" they  have loads of ingredients (hence the name) that you can select and they make it for you.   OR, I would call Ingredient a variation on Mixx (http://www.mixxingitup.com/), but with more sandwich and pizza offerings.

I think Ingredient compares with The Mixx if you've ever eaten there.  I think Ingredient offers more combos and/or more variety but it also has more of a chain.  I like the Sweet Leaf at Ingredient.  Mixing fruit in a salad is risky, but it pays off for this dish.   

I think all of the "shock" here is because of the age of the killer/victim but in today's society, kids are growing up a lot faster.  I would be 14 is pretty close to 18/19 15 years ago.  And males in that age group are some of the most likely to be killed by someone else in their age group.  I think it is the crime itself that is shocking and sad.  The age of the 2 involved is secondary.
