LeBron is a better offensive player than Carmelo, at least this year (probably every year). LEBRON WAS INSANE THIS YEAR

Lebron James really isn't that good. Have you seen who he's surrounded with?

its tough to argue against Lebron, mainly because I think he's the best to ever play the game, but they both have completely different offensive styles and also have different talent surrounding them. On the whole, you are probably right. There is just no way Anthony compares to Lebron's efficiency, inclusion of teammates, and offensive rebounding. I'd still probably argue that melo is the best iso player in the game.

Lebron's worst game was better than 11 of Melo's.  Scoring is the most easily replaceable stat in the NBA.  Melo will never make a finals and probably never another conference finals.

Lebron plays along side 2 perenial All-Stars, the greatest 3 point shooter of all-time, defensive beast Birdman, and KU legend Mario Chalmers. It's not like defenses can key in on Lebron, there's too much else to worry about. He just pads his stats by playing against pud defenders

Melo plays with an obese point guard, a 50 yr old point guard, a bunch of puds, and stud JR Smith....all while carrying the team to a 2 seed. What Melo did this season is nothing short of incredible

Lebron won 61 games on a Cavs team that was far worse then the team Melo had this year. He is the best player since Jordan by a mile.

Seems like the best player in the league would also be the most valuable.

sounds like we have a bunch of Colin Cowherd fanatics in this thread (Read: puds). Melo is insanely good.

Yes, he's very good.  Too bad there can only be one mvp.

i'm not saying he is mvp, but people seem to think that just because he isn't mvp that he isn't the leagues best offensive player.

I'd rank Durant and Carmelo ahead of Lebron right now

yeah, it's going on a pier that is a parking lot now so of course SF'ians are NIMBY'ing the crap out of it. Would be pretty cool but Oracle is really close to my place and has a quaint grimyness to it.

That may be true.  (although melo actually has a higher OR% than LeBron :surprised:)

melo is great, to say otherwise is foolish and probably just a good old fashioned parody post

He takes way too many mid range jumpshots to even be in the conversation for best iso player. In the first round playoff series, Melo took 60+ mid range jumpshots in 6 games, nearly 20 more than the entire Houston Rockets team. King James, KD, and hell even Mamba don't rely on taking so many poor shots.

Nate Robinson abused Chalmers the entire game.  Did anyone see when Chalmers cut back door and Lebron bounced it to him for a layup but instead he just dribbled under the hoop and passed it out to Bosh for a 19 footer which he missed?  What on earth?
