Also do NBA coaches ever convey actual information or instructions during time-outs? Maybe they cut that part out for TV?

Without a doubt. The only downside is when you have one conference dominating like the west did for a while. But really, nothing compares to the greatness of the NBA playoffs.

I used to think the NBA playoffs lasted too long. But in the past few years, I've come to enjoy that length very much. Combined with college ball, the playoffs make BB almost a year-round TV sport.

Yeah, I like him. The Celtics were actually way worse a couple years ago when when they had Perkins, Big Baby, and Nate Robinson. Ray Allen was the only one I didn't mind on that team.
