Ok I'll spill it. That part with the old lady on the Notebook. I just lost it. That old guy was just taking care of his sweet heart and she didn't know who he was anymore.

i still haven't seen the notebook but i did once cry during "she's all that".  isn't the notebook supposed to be really sad and stuff?

Imagine "she's all that" but like 5% sadder.

that's the thing - i don't remember the movie very well.  i thought you'd ask.  was there a part towards the end where she was out by a swimming pool with string lights or something?  might've been then

little sister used to come home from kindergarten every day and watch E.T. and cry - this was seriously at least a 5x a week thing for about a year.  i can't remember which part though.  any ideas?  i think it may have been at a weird/non-sad time, but i haven't seen that movie in like 15 years.

When the flower loses it petals and ET flatlines, or when they find ET down by the river and that jerk raccoon is sniffing around him, or when ET finally gets to go home and little Drew Berrymore is crying. Lot of options on that one.

At the end of Royal Tenenbaums when Ben Stiller has been very standoffish the whole time to his dad (mostly bc his wife died a few months ago), and then his kids' puppy gets run over, so Ben Stiller's dad brings them a new puppy and Ben Stiller is all tearing up and says "its been a rough year dad" good grief its not even fair. I just start weeping
