It was pretty short-lived.

i meant remotely good to be in the conversation of being blue blood. they have essentially the exact same resume as KSU in the last 10-12 years. oh because they made the finals in 2002 they are a blue blood? get out of my face with that.

Indiana has been down but they are one of a very few schools that are truly basketball first.  Outside of the ACC in the P5 I would say only Arizona, UCLA, KU, KY, and IU have a culture that values basketball ahead of football.  I think that appeals to the giant ego of coaches that are at the top of their profession.

Maryland was right there with all the other basketball first schools in the ACC and it will be interesting to see what happens now that they are in the Big 10.  I would be interested to hear what Mr. Bread and our other Illini posters say on if Illinois is a basketball school or a football school.

It's not sheetrock, it's cut/smooth limestone but Assembly Hall is a weirdly huge none-the-less.

Except not ucla or arizona, and kentucky and iu have acknowledged the errors of their way and actually made bowl games

starts show with Cliff Alexander's video and saying

"i don't really wanna make a big deal of this, i don't really care about this"

"i feel bad for sports media consumers these days"

"i feel like what we do here at 810 is honest. here it is. we tell it like it is."

"i just can't even imagine pumping this up as something like a farewell. he probably won't be a first round pick. there is no good side to this story, i don't know why you put this as a video on your AD site, this is not glamour or glorious."

KU Fan called in: "I just wanted to comment about your Louisville comparison from yesterday and the state of KU basketball.....etc."

-Leads to blue blood discussion

BITB: "I'll never understand KU fans obsession with Kentucky and Duke. You're not on their level and they could careless about you. You think when you get dropped in the 2nd round, Kentucky and Duke fans celebrate? Because they don't. Now, when Duke lost to Mercer last year, KU fans we're partying every where, including PNL where I was at".

I know a lot of Duke t-shirt fans and yes, amongst the Duke t-shirt fans that I know, they couldn't give an eff about Kansas.   I mean, a couple of the really knowledgeable ones know that Kansas has a very good program, but they couldn't care less if ku wins or losses.   Now my lil ku buddies . . . they were all over Wisky and MSU wanting them to win.

I know Duke alums who couldn't give a crap if KU wins or loses.  One of them was hopeful that Ku would be the #2 seed in Duke's region

Everything that the Phog mocks K-State, and especially Mizzou for being/ doing they do to the tenth power with regards to UNC, Duke and UK. What's worse is they're just as bad regarding programs like UConn, Arizona and Syracuse. It's little-dick syndrome to the extreme. I find it highly entertaining.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I wonder if BITB and Danny know that players only have to be 18 to play in the D-League, not 19 like the NBA.  :flush:

They really do. They are a big fish in a small pond until march and then they realize they are not all the great things they tell themselves.

Wouldn't it be great if KK really called him out on that on the air? You know all of fitz's fans will be listening.

fitz: Well, there are a lot of things that just can't be said. It's a real mess they are trying to clean up..."

kk: YOU SAY THAT ALL OF THE TIME! Your twitter followers and the people of GPC deserve to know the truth. You are not an employee of the university. If you know information, you can say it. STOP ACTING LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON BUT YOU JUST CAN'T TELL US!

fitz: Well, it is not fair for me to put the information out there. That is not what I do.

kk: IF YOU DON'T TELL ME AND TELL YOUR FOLLOWERS, THEN I AM NOT HAVING YOU BACK ON THE SHOW!
