you know what was great about Ron (outside of his turner gill'esque multimedia campaigns)? we could fire his ass whenever we wanted. he was working for us. he sucked, and we effed up his firing, but we fired him. if he didn't make it happen, he was out. we had that. we don't have that with bill. we need to move towards having that with bill. i love bill, and god forbid it comes to that, but sitting back and just accepting that it's bill and we are stuck with it until he decides we aren't is a loser plan.
I've felt for a long time that this situation mirrors a lot of dictatorships.
Extremely popular guy takes power. Things look good for a while. People love him so much that they let him just continue to do whatever he wants until he has a stranglehold on everything.
Stuff starts to go south. Leader puts his head in the sand and keeps cronies around while they screw everything up around them. People think, "Well, there's nothing we can do. He's too powerful. We can't make him leave."
Ultimate succession plan ends with dictator trying to place his Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) son in power. People have enough. crap starts getting set on fire in the streets.
My fear is open fan revolt against the guy with his name on the stadium. That will look really, really awkward and ultimately hurt us in the long run.
