Observations from the OU game
« on: February 20, 2010, 11:00:58 PM »
This was my 1st time seeing KState play at the LNC. The 2 things that stood out the most:

-The LNC is not a bad place to see a game as a vistor. The whole place has chairbacks, it's relatively small, the OU fans don't show up(maybe 1/2 full) and it's not intimidating...at all.

- The OU fans (atleast the ones around me) are Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) when it comes to basketball. The ones behind me thought Scott Drew deserved COTY.   The one next to me was furious because that the refs were not calling traveling????  He often screamed traveling as Denis was bringing the ball up the court. I'm going to assume he was too old and Denis was too fast.

YES.

With 10 minutes until tip-off, I looked around and was shocked that you could legitimately argue that there were just as many EMAWs as Sooners.

I like how the LNC is set up, but damn it's sterile. I thinks it's all the chairbacks; it's too easy to relax.

I liked how all the OU fans cleared out with 5 min left and most of the KSU fans moved behind the KSU bench. That was the highlight. Love the support.

Kept yelling, "What is this, a funeral or a basketball game?!"  and "Didn't know morgues had concession stands!" stuff like that.
