Louisville is about to land Chris Mack. That would be a hell of a hire. I know Mack has said no to a lot of offers in the past. Xavier is his alumni too.

This is impressive. I'd guess Mack turned down Ohio State last year because they don't focus on basketball like Louisville does. I'd call Mack one of the best available candidates out there, definitely a home run hire for Louisville.

He didn't burn OU down, Christ pipe. He was 96-69 there with an elite eight. He deserved to get fired but he definitely didn't burn anything down.

Amazing hire by Louisville, especially considering the offers Mack had to have had over the years.  Aren't there still huge risks of ncaa penalties associated with the job too?

Why? They've been very good for five coaches now. They've missed 7 or of the last 33 tournaments and most of those misses were when they were in a one bid league. They are positioned to keep it going, there's no reason they can't pluck a P5 coach. Sean Miller? oscar Pearl? Scott Drew?

I should have added next season. No doubt X is a good job but they are losing 3 seniors that are the 3 leading scorers so a mid pack BE finish and a bubble season seems likely. 

I don't believe X is a good enough job to get a proven high major coach like Miller or Pearl w/o the FBI stuff and I doubt they will want to as it has been all young up and comers that have built the program.

Louisville is also like an hour and half away from Cincinnati, so Mack still isn't that far away from home. Just an unbelievable slam dunk hire by Louisville.

I admit, you’ve reeled me in on this “schtick” accusation.  Though, I should tell you that much of my interest in this is me wondering whether your conclusion is shaped by some sort of mental impairment.  However, it’s probably just some deal where you resent others who are not like you, you know classic stuff like that.
