You have to wonder how long Chris Lowery will remain here.

Garden City homeboy Mark Fox has been fired from Georgia.

I like having athletic programs that I can be proud of, it’s not a bad thing.

Wow, I had no idea. I just looked this up and there is only one article about it. I'm assuming the lawsuit was either withdrawn or very quickly settled.

oscar leaving at the end of this season would likely be crippling to the short term benefit of this program. Anti-Brucers who would want that, at this point, can't be taken seriously.

I think most objective observers would understand the disdain for oscar that a lot of (not just our) fanbase has for him.  and I also think that there are enough qualified coaches who would not let us parting ways get in the way of a really good p5 job.  so, anyway, I disagree

What? Nearly every person not affiliated with K-State that talks about this issue mocks us about it. Just this morning I heard Mike Decourcy compare us to Pitt. I've also heard us compared to NCSU when they ran Herb Sendek out of town.

Frankly it doesn't matter, as this crowd is a shrinking one and the situation will resolve itself one way or another by next April.

It will resolve itself in that oscar will definitely be back after next April.

I agree, but there's a scenario in which he won't be back, it isn't likely but it could happen.

In six years Oscar has won half his conference games and one play in game, that's awesome

Is it bad if he's getting sued while assistant coach'n KSU?

because being on the wrong side of Mike Decourcy is a bad thing?
oscar is widely known as a joke among his peers and while the discussion around his failure as a coach can be debated, there’s more to his job than what appears in the w/l column

I get all my news from gE so I can say with confidence no one likes oscar Weber.

Seriously though, I talked to someone in the AD’s office who just last year acknowledged oscar was on the hot seat before we made our final run to make it into the tournament. Like him or not, he’s still got a shorter leash here than he would most other programs. OU had a player OTY candidate, UT has a monster lottery pick, and both finished in the bottom half of the conference. Yet it sure seems like more people calling for Weber’s head than Kruger or Smart.

It’s frustrating for everyone to get consistently bounced from the first round of the tournament, but it’s a really shaky basis for letting someone go since so much of it comes down to luck.

Weber misses the tournament the next two years, he’s gone. He fails to get us to the Sweet 16 before 2022, he’s gone. Failing either of those, I think we’re stuck with him. Although I do believe that if both Frank and Underwood continue to be successful outside of KSU, the fans will give oscar an even shorter leash.

LHC Bill Snyder always talked about the "fine work" of guys like Terry Allen, Turner Gill, Charlie Weis, David Beaty.......They are no threat so of course you want them to stay
Same goes with guys like Izzo, Crean, Self complimenting Oscar
