Yeah, it's easier to win in the sec. It's like playing in the nortard every year, except you can drive not more than 100 miles from campus to recruit and still rake talent.

I think you missed my point. It may be a bit easier to win in the SEC, but no one is really taking advantage of it. Also, "winning" in the SEC doesn't mean as much, if you finish 2nd in the league you are looking at a 4 seed at best. Finish 3rd and maybe you will get a 7. Too much of the league is no good and even with these hotbeds of talent, few coaches can take advantage of it and it continually remain average at best. Of course, perhaps the benefit is most schools don't care and Georgia will keep a guy like Fox for 8 seasons and Ole Miss will keep Kennedy for 11. Simply put, if you aren't going to coach at Kentucky or Florida the current make up of the SEC shows that you will be choosing a mediocre basketball school to be a mediocre coach.

Right, a modicum of effort and you win 20+ games per season. Easy street

was wondering last night why steve robinson has never tried head coaching again.  i guess the top assistant at unc is better than the main gig at a lot of places.  b/w him and cb, roy has been able to keep things pretty stable on his bench for ever a decade.

not bad. i kind sorta actually remember him as a cuse player. i always dreamed abt isaiah thomas as coach. i mean 10 years down the line when he retires. he was basically the husky pullen when i was at uw.

I really don't see Frank leaving South Carolina. I think as long as the fans and the athletic department embrace him there, he is going to be there for a long time.

Frank isn't going anywhere, SC was smart enough to pay him well, give him a long term contract, and a prohibitive buyout.  I think it's >$4 million buyout this year, at least $3.5 million.

Okie State has the $$$ to do it, but Frank has a pretty good situation in Columbia, SC.  Why go to Stillwater?
