Guy on 810 yesterday was saying that Purdue admin sucks.   Said that their current arena doesn't even have AC.  Granted they are building a new practice facility, but how do you let something go that long?

Also, another guy said that the booster involvement is close to zero up there.  sounds like no one cares that much.

Their president resigned last year, who was president at Iowa State before his time at Purdue. He basically ran our school into the ground on multiple fronts as well. Purdue is fuccccccccked.

MU being wiling to put the money behind basketball is all the difference.  Purdue seems stingy over this whole ordeal.  Too little too late.

I totally disagree. The population in a 2 hour, 3 hour, and 6 hour radius of W. Laffayette is so much bigger than Columbia that it makes any bullshit "only game in town" argument for MU....well, bullshit.

I know MU doesn't come close to sniffing the most Big 12/Big 8 titles, so I don't see how they have ever leveraged their "elite status" in missouri into anything other than bragging rights over CMSU and Truman State. Sleeping giant my ass.

Those things are all true, but it seems like this is all about commitment to a program and winning than any of those things. Those things definitely make Purdue the better job on paper.

Those things are all true, but it seems like this is all about commitment to a program and winning than any of those things. Those things definitely make Purdue the better job on paper.

I said in the other thread that even with more money (i.e. commitment) it is close. With equal money/budget it is not close IMO.

i dunno.  looks like purdue had a hell of a run b/t 1920-1930 (half of their 22 titles came then).  Since 1989, Purdue's won it 4 times,  Mu's won 2 titles, though none as recently as last year as Purdue has.  West lafayette is only 6hours away from columbia.  i dunno.  seems like MU will provide resources, and Purdue won't give Painter another GA.

wow, you have michigan way up there.  hard to fathom their sustained recent mediocrity, if they're truly the 2nd best job in the big 10.

michigan/msu (don't feel like i know how to evaluate these jobs)

northwestern (i've said before, i don't understand why this isn't a great job.  but i'm accepting empirical evidence to place here)
