uk post-game radio
« on: March 27, 2011, 06:17:16 PM »
I was in the car this afternoon and caught some of the uk post-game show.  Unfortunately, Bob and Piper had already signed off (apparently to upset to go on any longer) and David Lawrence was hosting.  Here are a couple gems:

"Let's go back to San Antonio to the podium and VCU head coach Shaka Smart"  1 minute of Smart and VCU player then, "That's about enough of that"
 :bawl:

At one point they went to commercial here in KC and the first commercial on 610 was a promo for the Jim Rome Show which was all about Frank killing Kellis in the post-game presser and ends with JR saying, "I would let my son play for Frank!"

Had to f'ing kill KU fans to hear that during their post-game.

Finally, some half-mentally challenged fella from McPherson or Salina or Newton called in telling everyone that this loss was not going to keep him from being a uk fan.

Do uk fans really consider abandoning their team after each loss?

If you didn't go to KU...and you hop on the wagon....there is alot to risk in terms of self worth and having a "spine" so to speak...

so when your wagon team tips over you end up looking like a huge jackass...

That's the real root of said butt-hurt.

That they sacrificed their integrity..only to see it taken down by a play-in team.

the bandwagon fans are trying to self validate their bandwagoness in order to make themselves think they are not bandwagon fans.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

You have to decide if you're going to buy another roll of stickers, big decision for some.

"I feel so sorry for Brady and Tyrel."

 "Have a good summer."
 "You too, Bob."

My Dad and I were actually laughing about the sticker thing today...it was remarkable how many fans in the stands simply had a sticker on.  They had loads of fans there, however.
