KSU road fans: Utterly adorable.
« on: February 20, 2010, 08:38:02 PM »
You've got to love they way they conglague (my own word) into one huge section at the end of these road games, and just start a barrage of unorganized, ridiculous, over the top chants.

I love you guys.

Sounded like a home game the last few minutes.  Love the fact that the team is clearing the seats out for the road show more.

EMAW fans are pretty amazing.

Plus the "K-S-U" chant sounds much better than some slow chant about limestone and other nonsense.

My first road experience, it was impressive.  Us upper-deck EMAWers had a blast.  Old Sooner lady in front of me called me an bad person.   :curse:

Anybody from here the one with the "Who Cares"/etc. signs?  Lovely all around.

Started to feel superelite when we dropped the  k......s......u chant on the road tonight.
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Just got done watching the game(dvr), EMAWrs representing in LNC tonight.  The end was great.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

They are just so happy, and amazed that we win.  It's like, "HOLY SH*T!  WE'RE F*CKING GOOD, AND WE KICKED YOUR ASS!!!" type of attitude.

Lots of fun.

That's a good description of them. Like they're secretly afraid our eliteness is a mirage, and when we nab yet another road win--by double digits--they're ridiculously overcome with relief.

Since we don't win roadies in FB anymore, its nice that the they have something to cheer about.  I REALLY want to go to AFH.  I'm 90% sure of the outcome, but man..........

OU fans think we need to act like we've won before? How about not rushing the court after beating the #1 team in the nation?

If we start having "win on the road" traditions that annoy the other fans then  .....just

I think the OU band should not be allowed to consolidate, FWIW.

I was there, it was a thing of beauty.  Walking towards the sections (behind the KSU bench) it was just a flood of purple flowing down the aisle towards the section of EMAW.  Eventually, some OU security guards/ushers or whatever, cut the flow, on account of they decided enough was enough, but after a minute or two, theyjust said eff it and let us have our fun.

Speaking of the OU mascots, what about the pregame thing? At first, I thought, "Hey this is kind of cool" when the two horses (no, not real horses) repelled down from the rafters.  Then, I was all "wtf" when they (the horses (not real horses)) just danced around to Guns and Roses for the ensuing 4 minutes.

Was at Kites in KC when I got the nut punch report of an ou horse mascot report. Didn't know they had horse mascosts for bball before tonight
