Grinderish up until the last few minutes of the first half, then UW missed 17 straight shots. Butler was in complete control and at nearly 1.2 PPP and UW was at .7 PPP. Then Butler did everything possible to let Wisconsin back into the game. In the end it looks like a game that was close and defensive (both teams under 1.0 PPP) that went down to the wire and it wasn't even close to that.

When I think grinder, I think slow pace, low scoring/inability to score. First thing that came to mind was the first 10 minutes of the second half where Wisconsin struggled to score, then the next 7 or so where Butler did. But you are right, more inefficient offense than good defense.
