And this breaks out less than 4 blocks away.

Currently sitting on the front porch as the biggest event to happen around here in years happens just down the street.

SWAT and numerous police on the scene.

The best part of this is that I had a dream last night (what ever happened to the last night's weird dream thread?) that _FAN dropped me off after a K-State game and there were all kinds of emergency vehicles outside of my apartment complex when we pulled in.

No, this guy was in court in Mankato (about 40 miles away), showed up high, went nuts, stole a truck, and drove back through a couple road blocks. Drove his stolen truck right into the front of the house when he got to town and has a bunch of guns and has fired shots. Evidently shot a cop also (don't make fun of this one, I actually know this cop). The cop will be okay.

Update: standoff continues. And apparently the info on the shooting is incorrect, cops were shot at, but not hit.

Thank God. Small town cops should not be allowed to carry fire arms....just satellite phones able to access real cops as needed. Observe and report.
