Kellis email...
« on: March 20, 2011, 09:07:30 PM »
I was pretty tanked and lit up Kellis after the game via email.  His response:

If you find my question of Jacob Pullen insensitive that is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

I think it was valid and needed to be asked. Below is exactly what I asked.

"Jacob, you, I mean, obviously, do some good things, set the school scoring record and matched your career high in points but you still can't get the win. How do you sum up the emotions that come after that?"

I pointed out the things he did well, and asked what his emotions were. I don't see anything wrong with that. Emotions are a big part of the game, and something people want to know about.

Maybe he was proud of his individual achievements and could take some pride in them even with the loss. Maybe all he cared about was the win and the individual achievements meant nothing. I didn't know, so I asked.

While it is unfortunate he fought off tears while answering and Frank Martin didn't like the question, I think it was fair. Jacob has never cried during a press conference since I've known him, but he was crying before, after and during the press conference last night. Wisconsin had more of an impact on that than me.

Still, I was disappointed to see Jacob take the loss so hard and explained myself to both him and Frank Martin afterward one-on-one to make sure there were no hard feelings. We left on good terms.

Thank you for the e-mail,

- Kellis Robinett

Kellis :chainsaw: Huge douche. I hate this guy more than ever after that awful question. He should know what's going through a player's head at that point, especially a senior.

"Jacob, you, I mean, obviously, do some good things, set the school scoring record and matched your career high in points but you still can't get the win. How do you sum up the emotions that come after that?"

So he points out the failure to get a win and digs at Jacob's pain like picking at a scab and thinks he is a hero for asking a a question that "needed" to be asked.  All that question was was a dig at a kid during a tough time that reflects Kelli's pain at his precious Jayhawks losing prematurely may times over the past several years.  eff YOU KELLIS YOU BIG PILE OF crap.

So let me get this straight, Kellis says he's crying before the presser, yet he feels the need to ask what his emotions are.

Unreal.

like chum1 said, the guy is just incredibly disrespectful, shameless, insulting & lacking in character.  i get the feeling you would like to add Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) to that list.

Pretty dumb to be indignant about Kel Dogg's question, IMO.  I dislike Kellis and find him unfit for the job because he is a KU alumnus (to say nothing of his writing).  Do we really need any other reason to want him gone?  Was so sad when JMart left.  I miss that guy - solid writer, and an outstanding human being.

I'm still more upset he is our beat writer than what he said last night.  No other fan base would tolerate his crap.  If I got journalism degree tomorrow and started a ksu blog, disrespecting ku and seff, then took the ku beat, they wouldn't let me last the week.

Apparently kellis was absent for all of the comments that Jake made about not caring about the scoring record or how many points he had in a game, that all he wanted to was win.  Apparently he had to hear him say something about it for the 10th time before it set in.  All Jake wanted was the win, and he had said that multiple times lately.
