Can JHR...

defend on the perimeter? With their bigs shooting so many threes, could take away his defensive presence around the rim, and take away any chance we have to get out in transition.......  :goodbyecruelworld:

kstate hasn't gotten out in transition for close to a full year now.

He can, but once out there, he's very susceptible to being beat off the dribble because of his slow feet. Our best perimeter defensive big man is Samuels IMO.  We need him to play lights out WITHOUT fouling out.

I'm mostly concerned with their big men getting ours in foul trouble on the perimeter. Sam, Kelly and JHR are prone to dumb away from the basket fouls.

Why not put Shane on one of those big white boys?  His length and quickness would bother them.  And if they take it down low, Kelly and JHR are good weakside shot blockers.  My biggest worry is them out-rebounding us.
Is that Manhattan?  My God, it's beautiful!

This isn't the first time we face big men who shoot the three. That crap university from Larry town has a post who shoots from 3 to 4 feet behind the three point line. I think we did alright guarding him. :ck:

JHR will dominate mainly because of the above statement, but...

IF our bigs do not make stupid off the ball fouls on the perimeter (obviously a huge assumption to make), WI has some slow footed behemoths. We can still block their garbage moves.
