i was talking with a friend at work (michigan alum for both undergrad and grad) and he told me that wisconsin is by far the biggest joke out of all the big12 schools and that their fans are all white trash. said that after living in manhattan for the past five years, he would straight up trade kansas state for wisconsin. take it fwiw, but he is a pretty decent friend and wasn't saying that stuff just because he thought i wanted to hear it. apparently a lot of the big10 schools feel this way about wisconsin and their white trash fan base.

Old timer at my office who played ball at Michigan said they used to HATE playing Wisconsin because the players were so smelly and a few of them even made water or stool (adorable old timey saying) in their uniforms.  Also, he said when they went out in Madison for dinner, several Wisconsin students would always beg for them to help them get out of Wisconsin.  Almost a sad story.

Wisconsin fans have to be excited about adding Nebraska.  They will still be the fattest fans, but not the ugliest.

i started to type that it would be horrible to be a michigan fan because you would be stuck right in the middle of nebraska and wisconsin on a map and then i realized that i don't even know where wisconsin is. hey wisconsin, where are you guys?  :lol:

a badger is a pretty fantastic mascot.  we should change ours.  not copy exactly though (cheating).  so we'd be the kstate eurasian badgers (which are more adorable anyways).
