tiger board and sports radio had a lot more smoke to the Anderson rumors last week.  Like Anderson pushing for more money.  Now with a crap finish, low seed and off the court issues maybe Mizzou won't be as willing to keep him.  Plus you could pull some sort of 'our guy' 'coming home' story for MA.

EVERYONE SETTLE DOWN!

Currie knows that if we lose Frank in a bad situation such as the one described above, then KSU fans will destroy him and his career.  Currie is not stupid.

This is what I'm hoping for.

If we lose Frank, Currie will have to answer hard questions that he probably doesn't want to have to answer.

It's in his best interest to keep the guy responsible for more NCAA tournament appearances than all other coaches combined since 1990.

If he loses Frank and keeps Snyder, I want him gone immediately.  Like yesterday.

Worst case scenario.

Who would we get to replace him?  Sean, that's who.

Either way, we would have to ride Currie and hope he brings in a good new guy.

Currie has us right where he wants us.  No other alternative.

If you are an upwardly mobile guy with big aspirations, you do not want to replace a big name coach that has a proven track record of success.  There is an element of risk there that you do not want to introduce into the equation.

Currie is the guy in the tough spot.  Not Frank.  Frank will be blunt about why he leaves if he does.  If Currie has dirty laundry, it's going to get out.

I like Currie, and I like Frank.  If they don't get along, the better start getting along, because I don't want be left without either of them in five years while Sean Snyder still picks his boogers and eats them while collecting checks from Kansas State.

this.  he'll be able to feed the tuck mantra of "frank was a liar, he wasn't loyal".  this is kansas state we're talking about.  christ, I'd expect wefald to show up and start crying at the presser "frank, they'll never love you like we love you".  if arkansas wants him, he's gone.  there's nothing currie can do about besides gets his talking points in  order.

it's really a pretty fantastic situ for an incoming coach.  dece returning talent and a top 25 incoming class that is considered likely to remain.  primed for immediate success and then you have the sec west just waiting to be dominated.

Yes, it's correct that Arkansas has a top incoming freshman class...number 7, I believe...AND the built-in honeymoon of 2-4 years.  So, if a coach were to look at another place to leave to secure his families' future and long-term security, he'd be crazy not to listen.

Arkansas could clearly have any of the 3. Hopefully they pick Anderson. Hate that rough rider.

Oh, man. Great intro presser moment.

Just saw Frank and Currie on tv enjoying Manhattan together at the tourney selection party.  Currie is loving him some Frank.

I still think Mike Anderson takes that job.  If they really want him, they'll get him.

they prolly won't choose him.  it's a pretty fantastic job at a really good time.  they'll have lots of good options.

I'm still somewhat confused how they ultimately ended up with Altman-to-Pelphrey.

I don't really remember the chain of events that ultimately lead them to where they are today.  I just can't remember how Dana Altman ultimately became the candidate of choice a few years back.  It seems like they could have done better, but I just don't remember the situation.

I'm fine with Frank leaving. He has done all he can do here. Time to move on Frank, while your stock is still high.

I've often heard HCFM talk about ArKansas and how it's like the most loyal and passionate fanbase in the country.  I never really connected the dots until now.

Also, not sure if ya'll know this or not, but it's well known that Fayetteville has the best knee surgeons in the entire world, and with HCFM getting his upteenth knee surgery just a couple weeks ago, this is starting to make more sense.  Couple that with the fact that Arkansas has more money than Target, well it just makes sense.

Good luck HCFM, we thank you for all you've done.

meh.  there are no Oregon.

Walmart >>>> Nike

..and no this is not based on personal preference... simply buying power and ability to get what they want.

This is exactly why the Kansas City Royals are on top of the American League.
