    It's starting to not be fun anymore.

    We've successfully untucked a few of their T-Shirts....now all they have to do is come to us. I'm sure they'll talk about how cool the chant they stole from Ohio is.

I guess the AssCats from the goEMAW board are getting tired of getting their a**** handed to them over here. I am going to miss them.

This dude seriously just declared himself Caesar.

Things I learned today:
1. USU is an actual School
2. It probably isn't BYU
3. I think their mascot is a Ute
4. They are Possibly Mormons
5. They don't like Jimmer Fredette
6. The best tactic they use is to declare victory prematurely
7. They were fun to rile up for a while

I know there has been plenty of discussion regarding the quality (or lack thereof) of the posts made by K State fans in a
number of threads in this forum, and it might be that I should add this thought to one of those threads, but by now they've
grown so large I feared this would not be noticed. Plus, I'm old and lazy and don't want to have to read all those long
threads over and over. But, I digress. I did mention in another thread (I've forgotten which) that I had the pleasure of
attending the Regional in Salt Lake last year at the tox box, errr, ESA and watched Kansas State win one and lose one -
to Butler. I was sitting in a corner, close to the K State fan section. Now, I will say that I was impressed by the K State
band. Really enjoyed their rendition of "Wabash Cannonball" whenever they played it, and, when that was being played,
watching a couple of the K State cheerleaders' moves almost gave me wood. Oh, wait, can I say that? Anyway, having no
real rooting interest in any of the teams (though since I'm a USU fan I must confess to a general preference for the underdog) I was there just to enjoy good basketball. When it came to having the slightest bit of objectivity about officiating, being able to recognize that a foul was a foul, and general knowledge of the game, it appeared to me, based on their reactions, that the K State fans are almost as bad as BYU fans. They booed and whined and bitched and moaned about every call that went against them. I guess that can be said about many fans of any team, but those people were really insufferable. Plus, their wildcat
mascot is about as lame as any I have ever seen. Worse, even, than Cosmo.

Greetings to all from a Jayhawk fan. You guys are a lot of fun. Some things about K-state. At one time, 20 years ago and before, they took pride in their basketball program. They played in an old barn not unlike ours, except half the size. But then they built the Fred. They call in the Octagon of Doom now, but that's a farce. The only time they even show up in full force to a game is when ESPN is in town, which is only when they play us. LHC Bill Snyder built up the football program, so then they started proclaiming themselves a football school. They boo every call, even if it was correct. They chant "Left ,right,...." on all the foul outs. And just as the player is starting to take his seat, they chant "sitting". When he sits, they say "down". Wouldn't you know that they actually said the down part when our player purposely sat while their guy was shooting the shot, two years in a row! They think every slap or touch is a foul when it happens to their player, but Frank Martin's bigs are head hunters. Getting points from them is not nearly as important as creating havoc. Their main offense consists of getting up a shot so their bigs can clear out under the basket for the put backs. Two of them left the team when America's preseason #3 started to crumble. So they have no depth in the frontcourt. Getting them in foul trouble would really hurt. They've gotten better though. Pullen's no joke. He's good, but he gets away with a lot of contact. If they don't call this game close, it will be pretty tough. They aren't the same team that got killed by Duke or even us earlier in the season. They're pretty hot right now, but the committee did them no favors giving them a 30 win 12 seed that is a lot better than their seeding. And has America's favorite fan. I assume the crowd should be rocking pretty good playing in Tucson. Good luck.
