Frank Focused on the Dance
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:50:44 PM »
Saw Frank at my place of business tonight. Asked him if he watched the KU-Texas game and he said quote, "Nah...I don't care about the Big 12 anymore until next year.  I've been watching film on those two teams since January. I'm only concerned with the NCAA tournament now. Could care less about any other Big 12 team unless we see them in the tourney."

Glad to see he's focused.    :emawkid:     :crossfingers:

Did he say he "could care less" or he "couldn't care less"?

Probably said "could".  Heard Self say "could" the other day... well it was "uh oh uh uhhhh I could uhhhh mmmm care less" but anyway, I think a lot of people still say "could". It's really a shame but I probably couldn't care less.

was he sitting comfortably or did he shift around a lot in his seat, as if he had just been ass raped for the third time in two months?

Maybe it's not so bad the third time?  :dunno:

How did he smell?  Clean shaven,?

He had a little stubble. Definately not clean shaven.

And no, sadly I do not work at McDonald's.
He bought three bottles of wine. He and Anya were clearly partaking in Fake Patty's...

I would have to guess 1 of 3 places.  Harry's, 4 Olives or Dela Voce.  If it was Longhorn Steakhouse or Olive Garden or something Frank would get swamped with shirt tucks, plus who would order 3 bottle of wine at a place like that?  The only hint is that our server seems to be chatty and those places like their server's chatty (with flair!).  Harry's (and 4 Olives to a lesser extent) too, but I don't think Frank likes Harry's.  It is shirt tuck mecca.

Frank is on record as liking Dela Voce so that is my guess.  However, 4 Olives has a much better wine list, and is closer to The Patio and Frank's house.  I will play the favorite here and go with Dela Voce.  4 Olives does give a good discount on wines for employees and seems to encourage people coming in on days off.  Not sure if this is the case other places.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

Prices are fair, but a large wine selection allows the prices to be a little higher than others.
Sean Snyder is a regular (he loves that Crown Royal Black), as is CK  :ck:

Yes, employee discount

Why does that make it lame?

the least you could do at this point is share Frank's wine selections.

well, i'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree.  nothing makes up for higher prices.

Sean Minor Four Bears Pinot Noir
Menage A Trois White Merlot/Blend
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc

Interesting you should say length of duration because he was in the store for around 10 minutes at first to pick out his wines, and then he returned 3 minutes later because Anya rejected the first bottle he had bought (Beringer White Merlot).

He said, "She just told me to get a white merlot, so that's what I got."
I said, "Yea that could be a number of options."
He said, "Yep, typical. You can never win."
