is this all taking place up north or do you have it in kc and tow it to minnesota?
Up north. The boat that I have presently is a 1976 trihull fiberglass ski boat with a bad motor. I hauled it from KS to MN late last summer and stored it up there. I'll slap a used whore of a motor on it for next summer and hope that it gets me until the fall.
A buddy of mine bought a 2 year old boat from a marina on the east coast, one of those that they rent out to tourists for the day. He had to tow it back from VA to KC but claimed it was a steal and they sell them every year at the end of the season and just buy new ones.
I know nothing about boats but maybe look into some arbitrage like that.
Hmmmm, interesting suggestion.
This sounds like buying a rental vehicle when they go to sell them....AVOID!
yeah, i would not buy a boat that was operatedwith the "eff it, its a rental" mentality for a season but i might tell my wife that is why the low hour boat that i did buy is such a great deal.
Pete, is a fishable pontoon or deckboat still your ideal craft?
